Contradictory information is received about the rumours concerning a powerful fire in “Khoasrov Forest” reserve. Under EcoLur’s sources, the fire took place on 9 October and enveloped about 10 ha of reserve: about 100 junipers have burnt down.
Today in the telephone conservation with “EcoLur” Nature Protection Ministry mentioned they will provide the information only after checking it.
It should be noted that on the day of fire, 9 October, Ex Director of Reserve Varantsov Barseghyan has already been dismissed from the position he held and G. Tamazyan was appointed as an acting director. Tamazyan is responsible for the territories, damage etc.
