The Coordinator of the Public Environmental Alliance Silve Adamyan was rejected to take part in the discussion of the problem of “Khosrov Forest” State Reserve. Reminder: on November 5 Nature Protection Minister Aram Harutyunyan invited a meeting at Khosorov reserve, but the active environmental society dealing with Khosrov issues hadn’t been invited. In her conversation with EcoLur Silva Adamyan said that on the eve of the meeting she had had a conversation with Deputy Nature Protection Minister Khachik Hakobyan. “He told me the public representatives hadn’t been invited, as very important decisions would be adopted together with donors and international organizations. And the public representatives were not relevant there, while scholars deemed to be relevant. I think that public representatives are relevant to be wherever the issued of Khosrov Reserve are solved,” said Silva Adamyan.
By the way, Silva Adamyan works as a researcher at Zoology Institute of National Academy of Sciences. “Khosrov Reserve” civic initiative also expressed its disagreement with the decision not to invite the active society. A statement has been circulated in the social networks, which particularly says, “ACTIVIST-ENVIRONMENTALISTS are not invited to so-called “public” discussion to be held on 5 November. Moreover, the entry of our group to the reserve is banned. The issue with Khosrov has been raised by environmentalist-activists and here we are more stakeholders than any other participant included in the invitation list. Again an attempt is made to imitate lively activities and to pretend to be a Minister of actions in front of donor organizations to get funding.”
