On 12 December the National Assembly accepted the draft law on making amendments to RA Law “On Environmental and Nature Management Fees” at its extraordinary meeting.
The project had been presented by Nature Protection Minister Aram Harutyunyan, “The water users for the purposes of fish and crawfish farming will make the payments in Ararat and Armavir Regions for 50% of the total used underground waters and 10% of the used surface waters, and 5% in all other regions,” Aram Harutyunyan mentioned.
“The proposed amendments will adversely affect on the fish farming, as there are concerns that the competitiveness of business entities which have established with so many difficulties will reduce,” Hermine Naghdalyan mentioned.
