The issue of safety of “Khosrov Forest” State Reserve remains focused by scholars and environmentalists. Marina Oganezova, Dr. In Biological Sciences, and Zhanna Galyan, Chairman of Armenian Ecotourism Association, who are both members of the Public Council adjunct to Nature Protection Ministry, disseminated a statement through the network of the Alliance of Public Environmental Organizations, which particularly says, "... In addition to the information on EcoLur’s website http://www.ecolur.org/hy/news/biodiversity/public-council-discussed-issues-on-specially-protected-areas-of-nature-and-ecotourism/7412/ (Nature Protection Ministry’s press release), the members of the Public Council noted that among other issues the Ministry expressed its concerns with the problems relating to “Khosrov Forest” State Reserve. The situation in the reserve was also presented and its compliance with the status of a “state reserve”,” the statement says.
