On 19 October upon the initiative of WWF Armenia and “Armenian Botanical Company” NGO the presentation of “Green Armenia” Book was held at Botany Institute of NAS RA devoted to the flora in Armenia.
The authors of the book are E. Gabrielyan, President of “Armenian Botanical Company” NGO, G. Oganezova – Vice President of “Armenian Botanical Company” NGO, O. Fragman-Sapir, M. Sargsyan, A. Nersisyan and M. Aghababyan.
“Green Armenia” Book is devoted to the plants growing in the forests in Armenia and other plant habitats. The book has been published with the support of WWF Armenia in the frames of ENPI FLEG program. The flora in Armenia comprises 3600 species: the authors mention that the book describes not all, but main species. The book also outlines the species, which can be used for landscape design in parks and gardens.
