On 4 February dead fish was detected in the Hrazdan River. The next day EcoLur’s correspondent found dead craw on the scene. Both the fish and the fish were sent to the lab for examination. On March 4 the Nature Protection Ministry received the results of the lab examination, “Under the conclusion of the vet expertise conducted by the “Republican Center for Vet, Sanitary and Phytosanitary Lab Services” SNCO, compounds of arsenic, free mineral acids, hydrogen sulfide, cyanides, nitrogen mineral fertilizers, chlorine and residual organic substances haven’t been detected in the examined samples.”
“As poisoning didn’t occur, the death of the fish and the craw was conditioned with mechanical reasons - electric current or detonation,” said Armen Vardanyan, Head of Information and Public Relations Department of Nature Protection Ministry. He also noted that the results of the lab examinations have been handed to the local police for investigation.
