Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan got acquainted with the construction process of the "Garden of Life" project implemented in Yerevan Botanical Garden.
Park of Life dedicated to the memory of the heroes who died in the Artsakh liberation wars will occupy an area of 50 hectares.
"The solutions for the greening of the area will be further studied, we will have a large green area in the Park of Life", Mayor Tigran Avinyan outlined.
4.6 billion AMD have been allocated from the state budget to implement Park of Life.
It should be noted that alarms are being sounded that within the framework Park of Life project, healthy trees are being cut in the Yerevan Botanical Garden, a parking lot and a restaurant are being built.
"A parking lot is definitely planned, I haven't seen a restaurant part in the project, and nothing like that is planned," Tigran Avinyan noted.
Anahit Ghukasyan, Director of the Institute of Botany named after Takhtajyan, explained about the alarm signals: "Not thousands of trees were cut down, but dry trees were cut down."
