“The trash belongs in the bin.” This slogan was created by the young members of “Exceptional” team from Ijevan on a poster they prepared during the training on “Climate Change in Armenia and Natural Disasters.” They presented their proposed solution to the environmental issue they raised to a simulated local self-government body.
Participants from “DBa Lava” team from Lori Region presented their project to neutralize a hazardous landslide-prone rock. Their project was inspired by a lecture conducted by Victoria Burnazyan, Deputy President of “EcoLur” Informational NGO, as part of the training on “Climate Change in Armenia and Natural Disasters.”
Victoria Burnazyan covered the challenges of climate change in Armenia, measures for adaptation and mitigation, ways to promote energy efficiency through personal actions, Armenia’s vulnerability to various natural hazards, and the necessary steps to address such threats.
