RA Minister of Environment Hambardzum Mathevosyan held a meeting with a delegation from the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Secretariat, the ministry reports.
One of the key topics of the meeting was the organization of the 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the Convention on Biological Diversity, to be held in Armenia in 2026.
Hambardzum Mathevosyan emphasized that COP17 is a unique opportunity for Armenia to present itself on the international stage as a responsible, forward-looking, and cooperative partner.
Representatives of the GCF delegation presented a number of successful programs implemented in other countries, which could also serve as examples for Armenia.
