It’s already the second time since “BSB” Company didn’t turn up at the public hearings in Jermuk, which is organized by the company itself. The hearings on the construction project of “Gndevank” SHP should have been held on 26 November, then it was deferred to 10 December. The first time the address mentioned by the company for the public hearings, 1-Arpa-Sevan st., Jermuk Town, didn’t exist in fact. This fact was revealed by the public representatives having arrived in Jermuk for the participation in public hearings. Nature Protection Ministry annulled the public hearings. In its official letter addressed to EcoLur, the Ministry stated that the representation of the Environmental Expertise will also take part in the hearings appointed on 10 December at 16 Hetapnya st., Jermuk.
As “Center for Developing Jermuk” NGO informed us, this time the address exists, but there is no building. “All this was under the open sky in the mid of December,” told EcoLur the Co-Chair of “Center for Developing Jermuk” NGO Vazgen Galstyan, nevertheless, “BSB” Company didn’t turn up again. What about the expert of “Environmental Expertise” SNCO Karine Movsisyan from Yerevan, Head of Agricultural and Environmental Department of Vayots Dzor Regional Municipality Babken Mkrtchyan from Yeghegnadzor, Yeghegnadzor Aarhus Center Coordinator Narek Beglaryan, the representatives of Jermuk Municipality and public representatives without discussing the given project. I wonder whether it’s possible to issue a positive opinion to the company, which has cheated the people, local administration and state bodies already the second time.
