Nature Protection Ministry responded to “Trchkan” and “Jermuk Won’t Become a Mine” civic initiatives very laconically. The letter signed by Ministry Staff Head Edgar Pirumyan says, “All the questions referring to “Gndevanq” SHP will be settled in the way as prescribed by RA Law “On Environmental Impact Expert Assessment””. Reminder: the initiatives have applied to Nature Protection Minister Aram Harutyunyan with a demand to turn down “Gndevank” SHP project, which “BSB” company intends to implement in Jermuk. Under the project, the SHP should be constructed on the Goris River, while as a matter of fact, the construction will be held on the Ankakh River.
