442 Trees TO Be Cut Down In Case "Arpa-3" SHHP Constructed

If the Nature Protection Ministry issues a positive opinion to the construction project of Arpa-3 SHPP, 442 trees and bushes will be cut down in Jermuk forestry enterprise. The SHPP project says, “The number of trees to be felled down according to species is as follows: oak tree – 317, willow – 75, pear tree- 6, ash tree -7, plum tree -9, birch trees – 28.” The mentioned territory is located from 2250 to 2325 meters above sea level, though “Jinj Arpa” Company is obliged to plant 500 trees instead of felled down trees. It should be mentioned that trees grow with difficulties at such height.
