As compared with 1990 Armenia has managed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions threefold in 2010, as Nature Protection Minister said at Workshop on climate changes and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions organized jointly by the Secretariat of the UN Climate Change Framework Convention and Nature Protection Ministry.
As Information and Public Relations Department of Nature Protection Ministry informs, Aramayis Grigoryan outlined that 68% of overall greenhouse gas emissions in the country is in the field in energy. Meanwhile, he said, Armenia's resources of renewable energy will create preconditions for sustainable development of the future generations.
