"Kapan Eneghjy" CJSC operating 'Voghji-2' and 'Voghji-3' SHPPs denies that SHPPs cause the drying of the Voghji River.
“Currently both SHPPs are cut off the network and don’t operate,” said Zohrab Astvatsatryan, Deputy Director of "Kapan Energy" LLC in his telephone interview with EcoLur responding to the news entitled “Voghji River Dying” published by EcoLur on 8 September, “The Voghji is an unstable river depending on floods. During spring floods the stations are operating at full capacity. But the river is getting dried, while stations stop operating. During the time period when the environmentalists had observations of the Voghji River, the stations were operating,” Zohrab Astvatsatryan outlined.
