Applications are now open for COP17 Special Edition of “Climate Change and Women” Awards. The awards are organised by RA Environment Ministry and "Women in Climate and Energy" NGO.
The awards aim to recognise and increase the visibility of women’s leadership and contributions to actions and solutions addressing climate change and biodiversity conservation.
The awards are based on the key approach of “from recognition to advancing solutions.” The winners will have an opportunity to present their experience, solutions and their potential for scaling up within the framework of COP17.
For the first time, the competition will include “Special Recognition” category. This recognition is intended for a man who supports women’s leadership in climate action and biodiversity conservation.
A male candidate for the Special Recognition may be nominated by women, organisations, institutions or professional partners. Self-nominations will not be accepted.
The application deadline is 30 September 2026.
