Taking into consideration that the authorities in the Republic of Armenia have been changed and a new government has been formed, as well as taking into account the emerged serious environmental problems in the country, which need urgent solutions, concerned civil society is organizing discussions and drafting different suggestions to the government.
On May the proposals made by the NGOs, independent experts and journalists were discussed at EcoLur Press Club. The main focus was on mining, use and preservation of water resources, Lake Sevan, forests, specifically protected areas of nature, recruitment policy and corruption risks.
A decision was reached to discuss the proposal package in different public platforms and summarizing the outcomes to send the proposals to the government.
