EcoLur received a report from Georgia that the Georgian environmentalists demand from the President Mikheil Sahakashvili to fire Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alexander Khetaguri for his non-professionalism and appeal to veto the law adopted by the parliament in accelerated mode. We speak about the amendment in 'Law on Environmental Protection.'
According to the statement at the briefing of the Greens Party today, Energy and Natural Resources Ministry developed an anticonstituional law, which poses a hazard to environment.
'We demand the resignation of Alexander Khetaguri for developing such a law, for worrying the public and making cynical statement by advising us to read the law more carefully,' said Nikoloz Mzhavanadze, the lawyer of the Center for Environemntal Law.
