The Institute for Democratization and Human Rights replied to the statement of the Armenian Police in regard with the dismantling pavilions in Mashtots Park. The Institute institute called the police not to turn into a tool for oligarch by defending illegal decisions and unlawful property. The institute drew attention to the appropriate statement of the police, where the police appealed to solve the matters in court. 'Nevertheless, the judiciary in Armenia turned down to try this case aimed to protect public interests,' says the statement of the institute...The use of force by the police towards people who decided to dismantle the pavilions, will be considered as the implementation of illegal decisions of the Municipality, as the protection of interests of illegal private sector in the detriment to public interests and public property.... In this case the administration of the police of Armenia will be brought to justice for the violation of basic human rights, constitutional rights and freedoms and constitutional order,' the institute statement says.
