Kapan-based “For Ensuring Democracy and Environmental Safety” NGO addressed an open letter to Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan, which particularly says, “On 27 March 2012 “ArmWaterCanal” CJSC suggested concluding new agreements with Kapan residents differing from the previous agreements that the new one doesn’t contain “cleaning” word. That is, it turns out that from now on “ArmWaterCanal” CJSC is not going to bear responsibility for the cleaning of sewage. Thereby “ArmWaterCanal” CJSC ignores the obligations vested on it prescribed in government decision 130-N dated on 22.01.20-4 and provisions of the Water Code of Armenia.
The NGO expects from the PM to obligate “ArmWaterCanal” CJSC to call back the unlawful agreement and to draw up agreements that comply with the law and adopted government decision. The copy of the letter was also addressed to “ArmWaterCanal” CJSC General Director Patrick Loren and Director General of French company Saur Joel Sashe.
