

EcoLur has acceded to the Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia Business and Human Rights Resource Center, established by Central and Eastern Europe Business and Human Rights Association. The opening of the resource center took place on October 13, 2021, as part of an event called "Voices from Regions".
The Resource Center is a platform for activists, businessmen, governments, affected communities, other stakeholders to collaborate, and to share their views and experiences on business, human rights issues. Thematic pages are widely presented, intersecting business and human rights with pressing agendas such as combating corruption, the impact on the environment, and sustainable development. There are pages dedicated to specific countries where relevant studies have been conducted and information has been published.
The resource center platform allows you to post a variety of content, including reviews and comments, general information, analysis, videos, tools and stories about activists and communities.
"On all pages we want to emphasize the experience of the people living and working in a particular region. Your contribution will be a valuable addition. We hope you will share your stories and ideas," CEECA organizers Ella Skybenko and Ashley Reynolds said.
The representatives of Crude Accountability (Kazakhstan), EcoLur Informational NGO (Armenia), Belarusian Helsinki Committee (Belarus), CEE Bankwatch, Oil-Workers Rights Protection Organization (Azerbaijan), Ecoclub (Ukraine) organizations presented the stories related to the impact of business on human rights, corruption cases, and pressure on human rights defenders.
Inga Zarafyan, President of EcoLur Informational NGO, gave a brief overview of access to information, participation in the decision-making process, health, and the right to a healthy environment. Examples were given of the decisions of the Aarhus Convention Secretariat regarding the seizure of Dalma Gardens, Teghut Copper and Molybdenum Mine, the public struggle against the bill to restrict access to environmental information, and the issue of health and environmental awareness.
