


On January 21, 2022, a working meeting of Eurasia Partnership Foundation and "Social-Ecological Consortium” took place in Yerevan, where the progress of "Social and Ecological Responsibility" project was discussed.
“Social and Ecological Responsibility” project is carried out by the NGOs involved in "Social-Ecological Consortium” - “Center for Community Mobilization and Support”, “Martuni Women’s Community Council”, “New Horizons”, “EcoLur” and “Forests of Armenia” NGOs within the frameworks of The Data for Accountable and Transparent Action (DATA) project.
“Data for Accountable and Transparent Action” (DATA) project is implemented by Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) in a consortium with SOCIES Expert Centre NGO (Socies), Boon TV Foundation (Boon TV), Youth Cooperation Center of Dilijan NGO (YCCD) and Sose Women Issues NGO (Sose) co-created with and supported by United States Agency for International Development.
The main discussion was on the "Environmental-Social Policy Assessment Tool Meter" developed by “Social-Ecological Consortium”. It consists of three parts: data collection tool for expert analysis, data collection tool for community administration and data collection tool for residents.
The consortium members presented how the preliminary discussions of the tool-meter in Akhtala, Odzun, Sisian, Goris and Martuni Communities, the proposals voiced during these discussions. It was suggested to continue the data collection work in two focus groups. The first focus group is the representatives of the local self-government of the community - community head, deputy, secretary of staff and administrative representatives. The other focus group will include active local residents, young people, women, farmers, entrepreneurs, employees of educational institutions. It was emphasized that gender balance should be considered when forming focus groups.
Based on the database collected using the tool meter, a community socio-ecological policy will be developed with the participation of the target communities, which will be proposed as a component for the approval of the Aldermen’s Council.
