

Within the framework of "Green Cities" international exchange program, "Green Roofs" and "Clean Community" projects in Jrahovit, Ararat Region, and Tsamakasar, in Aragatsotn Region, were recognized as winners.
The project of Jrahovit was presented by the director of the village school, Silva Grigoryan. The project envisages growing trees from seedlings in Jrahovit. According to the project submitted by Gayane Grigoryan, a resident in Tsamakasar, it is planned to install garbage cans in the settlement while solving the issue of transporting garbage to the landfill site.
Within the framework of the project, mutual visits were made to the Russian Federation and the Federal Republic of Germany in order to introduce the local environmental projects and the completed works. In Armenia, the participants met with representatives of "EcoAghb", "EcoLur" and "HaykArmenia" NGOs, visited Yerevan Botanical Garden and "Red Deer Breeding Center" of Dilijan National Park.
The project was developed by the German association "Mensch Raum Land eV" in cooperation with Armenian "World Independent Youth Union" NGO. This project is funded by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
