The citizens of the Republic of Armenia got an opportunity to control the Armenian parliamentary election process both in the pre-election stage and during the elections. iDITORD.org website gives them such an opportunity, which pas presented on 6 April.

iDITORD.org website is a civic control tool for the elections, which will map all the election violations during the elections to the National Assembly on 6 May based on the statements made by citizens and organizations.

'We do hope the website will work, as 43 election violations have been recorded within 5 days. We took only some of the violations from the mass media, the rest was recorded by citizens by themselves, which is rather inspiring,' said 'Transparency International Anticorruption Center' NGO Head Sona Ayvazyan in her interview with EcoLur.  “The iDitord project has been worked out based on the Ushahidi open source online tool created in 2007 during the presidential election in Kenya to give a complete picture of violations of rights.  The Transparency International and Media Diversity Institute NGOs are implementing a joint iDitord (iObserver) project with the financial support of OSI Armenia and UNDP through Internews USA, Eurasia Partnership Fund and Counterpart International Armenia.
