In the regular series of “Monitoring Environmental Programs of Political Parties” EcoLur presents the environmental component of ‘Armenian Revolutionary Alliance’ for the election campaign in 2012. The “Protection of Environment” chapter lays down, “The economic projects will be implemented only exclusively after environmental impact assessment and appropriate opinions, their results will be available to the public. The access of transports not complying with environmental standards to Armenia will be restricted. New underground stations will be constructed. The traffic of trucks in the downtown of Yerevan will be restricted. The operation of the organizations harming citizens’ health and violating set standards will be banned. The green territories and water reservoirs will be expanded and restored keeping them free from trade exploitation.”
