The election campaigns of the governing coalition as represented by RPA, PPA and OEK also include environmental part. In the election promises for 2007 the party asserted that environment and nature were above anything. Thus, the RPA promised after stopping Lake Sevan level the main task would be to preserve the whole ecosystem of the lake and to set up mechanisms for basin improvement…Yes the level was raised…but the largest freshwater reserve in the region faces the problem of waterlogging and conservation of fish reserves...The Ministry boasts of establishing new protected territories...But, for example, the establishment of Arpi Litch National Park cost 2,200,000 Euros allotted by German KfW Bank, certain efforts were put by WWF represented by German and Armenian representatives, other international organizations but not RPA...
