The “Armenian National Congress” recognizes the priorities of health and right to good environment over public relations of short-term economic nature,” says the ANC environmental program for the 2012 elections. The program is laid down on 27 pages, including problematic topics, such as use of natural resources – forest, soil, mining, balance of natural resources and damages caused to environment, safety of agricultural products etc. The program contains proposals on using economic mechanisms of market economy in nature management and amendments in taxation. The significant part is dedicated to the constitutional rights to health and healthy environment. The drawbacks of the current legislation and actions of government agencies are in-detailed analyzed on certain examples leading to the destruction of environment. The ANC program points out the need for new approaches and new policy.
