From political viewpoint, Ruben Hayrapetyan bears responsibility, and when he resigned his MP mandate, he made an adequate responsible step.  ANC Deputy Gagik Jhangiryan made such as assessment in his conversation with EcoLur in regard with the murder of military doctor Vahe Avetyan by bodyguards in “Harsnaqar” restaurant.

 “Scope of persons to be brought to justice should be determined on the basis of obtained proof and case materials. This is criminal law.  What the investigation of this case will show and what kind of new circumstances will be revealed, new assessments can be made,” he said.

Reminder:  An incident occurred at the restaurant on June 17, where several military doctors including Edgar Mikoyan, Arkadi Aghajanyan, Garik Soghomonyan, Artak Bayadyan and Vahe Avetyan were brutally beaten by the restaurant employees. Vahe Avetyan died because of injuries on 29 June. 

ANC deputies took part in the protest demonstration on 4 July held near Armenian parliament and Public Prosecutor’s Office. Protest organizers are civic activists who demanded not to get satisfied with Ruben Hayrapetyan’s resignation from MP mandate (Ruben Hayrapetyan officially resigned from MP mandate on 3 July), but to investigate all the circumstances of this case by recognizing the ex MP guilty of committed crime. Many speakers addressed allegations not only to this business tycoon, but to President Serzh Sargsyan as well. They also accused the intellectuals, which keep aside from what is going on in the country. At the same time, parliamentarian factions such as ANC, ARF, 'Heritage' and 'Prosperous Armenia' demanded to have an urgent meeting with law enforcement bodies, who conduct investigative actions in regard what happened in 'Harsnaqar' restaurant complex on 17 June. Joint statement addressed to National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan particularly says, 'As a result of inhuman actions Major Vahe Avetyan was murdered... As a result of atmosphere of unlawfulness, super tension reigns in public...'
