On 23 September elections will be held to local self government in constituency no. 22 (Gegharkounik Region). In Gavar town, the administrative center of Gegharkounik Region, current Mayor Gurgen Martirosuyan, “Qyavar” TV director Armen Galstyan, employee of territorial administration Mkrtich Zolyan and director of “Vlad-Armen” LLc Dmitriy Ispiryan, Tigran Hakobyan (ARF) and Grisha Hoveyan (ANC) run their candidacies.
“I would like each of the candidate or all of them to come up with their own programs,” said the Chairman of Electoral Committee Albert Aghikyan in his conversation with EcoLur, “I would like to have debates, to ask them questions so as voters could make up their minds. But now the more relatives you have the more chances to win. To have alternatives…”
Gavar resident, “You may say many things and present your programs, But we all know how all is done. Everything is decided in a narrow circle. That’s why they gather their relatives, acquaintances, co workers, somebody just have to elect them. I think some kind of obligations play an important role. We read the programs and what?!!!”
