The administration of Gegharkounik Region and the Committee of Lake Sevan Problems by the President of Armenia will cooperate for the sake of preserving Lake Sevan clean. The parties reached an agreement in the course of the visit paid by Sevan Committee Chairman Vladimir Movsisyan to Gegharkounik Region. According to the official website of Gegharkounik Region, the issues of landfills, pollution of rivers with sewage flowing into the lakes etc were discussed at the meeting. Vladimir Movsisyan noted that the program of Sevan basin cleaning from household wastes has already been confirmed, but efforts and time are needed for its implementation.
