On 30 November Kapan Mayor Ashot Hayrapetyan met with the OSCE Office Syunik PIU representatives. According to the official website of Kapan Municipality, the OSCE representatives handed Kapan Mayor several examples of the booklets published by the OSCE to promote tourism in Southern Syunik and expressed the opinion there are large opportunities for development of tourism in Southern Syunik, particularly ecotourism. At the meeting the parties also touched the program of region diversification, particularly, implied the organization of new productions and new working places in non-mining enterprises. In his turn, Ashot Hayrapetyan noted that soon the Municipality will have specialists in environment and tourism.
