On 20 December Nature Protection Ministry invites public representatives to discuss the demand they tabled on Nature Protection Minister Aram Harutyunyan’s resignation. The meeting will be presided by Deputy Minister Simon Papyan.

“Trchkan”, “Teghout Support”, “Khosrov Reserve”, and “Jermuk Won’t Become a Mine” civic initiatives announced they won’t take part in this meeting. The statement they circulated particularly says, “Our protest and demands were dispatched to Armenian PM and Public Prosecutor in writing. But instead of official reply within 30 days as prescribed by law, they invite us to have a meeting with First Deputy Minister on 20 December…We refer to this invitation with great respect, but in any case we have to turn it down, as we can see the solution to the issue we raised within the authorities of the bodies we have applied to…We demand from Armenian PM and Public Prosecutor to officially respond to our report and not to readdress them to other official bodies,” the statement says.
