Nature Protection Minister Aram Harutyunyan commented on the public demand to resign. “We are in constant discussions with environmental structures, activists and public sector. We are not restrained with anything, we meet and speak on any issue. Unfortunately, there are some cases, when this problem is boosted, nevertheless, even in these cases, we act in working regime, give explanations, even of this issue is too acute…What about the demand on resignation, this is their (public) right. I want to say our Ministry has a good team, we have doctors of science, good specialists and this team headed by the Minister is willing to solve and regulate current problems,” Aram Harutyunyan said.

Reminder: 48 organizations, members of Public Environmental Alliance, demanded for Minister’s resignation, after the case of poaching of red-listed animals was detected in “Khosrov Forest” State Reserve. In their turn, ‘green’ civic initiatives “Teghout Support”, “Trchkan”, “Khosrov Reserve”, “Jermuk Won’t Become a Mine” have applied to the Public Prosecutor’s Office demanding to bring Nature Protection Minister Aram Harutyunyan and other competent bodies to justice for “inactions and abuses.”
