A protest demonstration will be held in front of the US Embassy at 15:00 on 4 March. The organizers have disseminated a statement on Facebook, which says, “We invite all of you to take part in the front of the most powerful democratic country’s embassy, which congratulated Serzh Sargsyan reappointed to the president’s office due to fake elections. Those countries, which acknowledge the results of the fake elections and legalize the criminal regime formed in Armenia, hinder democracy in Armenia, consequently formation of statehood.
Such behavior of those countries that are considered to be democratic discredits the concept of democracy making it a tool to promote their personal regional interests at the expense of the national interests of Armenians.
The recognition of the Armenian Genocide was sacrificed during the last five years. The letter of congratulation addressed to Serzh Sargsyan by Secretary of the State John Kerry implies that this time it’s turn for Artsakh to be sacrificed during Serzh Sargsyan’s office.”
