The striking students intend to establish an open university in the square of freedom thus providing the youth an opportunity for free education.
“Aiming to set up such a university, where any unlawful action will be missing together with the corruption, Pan-Armenian Youth-Student Movement representatives have decided to set up an open-air university in the Square of Freedom, which each student will be granted an opportunity to receive free education. We give much importance to the activities of a free and independent university, where the student won’t be restricted, threatened or degraded. Thus, we are asking all lecturers and scholars who are willing to deliver lectures for the country of our dreams, join us,” circulated striking students on Facebook social network.
Reminder: on 25 February a group of Armenian students declared about a walk-out demand to annul the results of the Armenian presidential elections and to hold new elections.
