“Pan-Armenian Environmental Front” Applying for Tree Planting to Yerevan Mayor

EcoLur

“Pan-Armenian Environmental Front” has filed an application to Yerevan Mayor with a request to carry out tree planting. “Taking into consideration the lack of green zones, particularly tree-covered territories in Yerevan and favourable climate conditions for tree planting, we request to provide 1300 square meters of territory to us in Yerevan to plant 50 pine trees (6x6 for each tree). We propose to make a choice among one of these territories:

1.      Ring Park,

2.      Norq-marash slope (which will have also sand-supporting significance),

3.      The back part of “Firdousi” market (to get rid of the garbage),

4.      Slope in Monument (which will have also sand-supporting significance),

5.      The territory near Kh. Dashtents Street next to Erebuni Museum (which will enable to increase the number of trees and to serve as a sanitary zone)”.

Reminder: a group of environmental activists declared about establishing “Pan-Armenian Environmental Front” on 16 January 2013. This front includes patriot Armenians from Armenia, Artsakh and Diaspora, who are willing to struggle for the nature protection of Armenia, rational development of economy and social justice with efficient steps.
