The police haven't permitted Raffi Hovhanissian, who has been sitting on a hunger strike, to put a tent in Square of Freedom. The police have announced that the Square of Freedom is a cultural-historic monument, where it’s banned to put any tents on the asphalt. “I think that the police and town authorities should demonstrate judgment and not to hinder putting a tent. We don’t deal with entrepreneurial activities here to ask for a permit. Here we pose demands in the form of protests. Both the protest and the requirements should be met, while the person who is sitting on hunger strike should have proper conditions,” said “Heritage” Faction Deputy Zaruhi Postanjyan to EcoLur.
Reminder: “Heritage” Faction Head Raffi Hovhannisian declared a hunger strike on 10 March demanding for Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan to disqualify himself.
