On April 9 is the inauguration of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and simultaneously the alternative inauguration of “Heritage” Faction Head Raffi Hovhanissian. A touch to how the elections passed from Martuni, Gegharkounik Region.
“None of the members of the electoral committee expressed any opinion on any minutes. How it could happen, if 5 parties were represented in the committees. No complaint in 145 constituencies, at the same high rate of emigration with 40% of voters out of the country, and now we have this indicator. It’s not a secret that elections are carried out via secret balloting, but what is the secret here…Everybody can open up this secret on the camera…” said Anahit Gevorgyan, Chairmen of Martuni Women’s Council. Under her, the party representatives taking part in the presidential elections showed extreme indifference. “We had 5 observer groups in 90 constituencies. None of the parties at the National Assembly turns out to be interested in the elections, but the political forces have no right to treat elections like that, this is their main task irregardless of the fact what they protect. Then people are said to become indifferent. The parliament should be dissolved and new elections should be carried out,” he said.
