On April 8 the Environmental Committee by Yerevan Municipality discussed the withdrawal of five members from the Environmental Committee. The reason for their withdrawal was that the opinions and discussions had not significance for the decisions made by Yerevan Municipality and its departments. Nevertheless, Environmental Committee Chairman Karien Danielyan hasn’t lost her hope yet. As www.aarhus.am informs she considered the complaints and demands of the committee members as lawful and said the urban development has finally destroyed the city environment. But she didn’t consider such a behavior right and said the problems are not solved at once and the committee should achieve that the municipality, particularly the Architecture committee, take into consideration the opinion of the Environmental Committee. Nevertheless, the Environmental Committee has come to an agreement if the Municipality will keep on behaving like this and their efforts will give no results, then will finally stop the works of the committee.
