Suren Sahakyan, one of the participants of the sit-in near Yerevan Municipality, got sunstroke at the night of 5 August and was taken to St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center. He has a high body temperature up to 40 40°C, as sit-in participant Tehmine Yenoqyan wrote on Facebook social network. “The strike has been lasting for 11 days and the police didn’t permit to put up any tents or sheds. The doctors at the Medical Center told Suren Sahakyan that he should either pay or leave the center and he had to leave the center with a catheter in his vein,” her post said.
Ecour’s telephone call was answered by Tigran Harutyunyan, a doctor on duty at Medical Center, who said he took his shift on 6 August and under his information, Suren Sahakyan left hospital willingly. What about the demand to pay a fee for medical aid, he had no information in this regard.
