Nature Protection Ministry to Consider Whether or Not To Join “Green Bridge”

Nature Protection Ministry Aram Harutyunyan received the Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Armenia Ayimdos Bozjigitov upon the latter’s initiative, as the Information and Public Relations Department of Nature Protection Ministry informs.  

The parties have discussed the “Green Bridge” project initiated by the Kazakhstan. The aim of this initiative is to promote green economy, particularly green energy. The charter on “Green Bridge” partnership program is planned to be signed during the International conference to be held in Astana from 30 September to 1 October, where Armenia is also invited to participate. Minister Aram Harutyunyan insisted that Armenia always supports such initiatives, but express a definite opinion during the conference because of the time limit under ceremonial procedures. After examining the project the Armenian party will reach a decision.

The  Nature Protection Minister and the Ambassador of Republic of Kazakhstan discussed the options to activate the cooperation of both countries in environment and the preparation of a cooperation memorandum between the two departments.
