Environmental Fees for Non-Metallic Mines to Be Increased

The Finance Ministry will propose the executive to increase environmental fee rates for non-metallic natural resources starting from 1 January 2015. As the measure program of the government for 2014 says, late in November 2014 the Finance Ministry will submit the draft law of the Armenian Government resolution “On making amendments in the Armenian Government resolution N 864 dated on 30 December 1998”, which aims to review the environmental fees laid down in this decision.
The last time when the environmental fee rates for non-metallic natural resources were reviewed was in 2011, however the market prices have significantly gone up from that time on.
