We are writing the U.S. Department of State to inform that former Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan is currently involved in multimillion dollar offshore money laundering scandals involving the Republic of Cyprus, and using his powerful post in Armenia's government for personal financial gain while engaging in deception and conspiracy to evade justice under the law. Tigran Sargsyan is also involved in other intrigues to gain criminal wealth.
An attempt is being made in high government circles in Armenia to help Tigran Sargsyan avoid justice by obtaining diplomatic immunity in the United States. Approving someone suspected of the above crimes as Armenia's ambassador to the United States blatantly contradicts American democratic and legal principles and is a threat to our national dignity.
We demand that the U.S. Department of State prevents Tigran Sargsyan from escaping justice.
