Karine Danielyan, 'For Sustainable Human Development' Association
The Republic of Armenia together with all NATO members have undertaken a commitment to implement the World Programme on Sustainable Development by 2030, which is based on 17 Objectives of Sustainable Development. In accordance with it, the country is obliged to implement these objectives at national level, out of which 9 are environmental ones, to develop corresponding programmes and to proceed to their implementation. Already in 2017 Armenia shall submit its first report to the UN, nevertheless, the governmental programme doesn't say a word about it. Then, as always, the intersectorial cooperation is always very weakly represented. Environmental problems and programs are mainly underrepresented, though they should have been reflected in most of other aspects. Unfortunately, other ministry mainly neglect these problems and programmes.
