'Tsarukyan' alliance taking part in the parliamentary elections of 2017 is promising to decrease the electricity price at the expense of NGOs and nuclear power plant. One of the priority measures in fifteen-point programme of the alliance refers to this very issue, 'To drastically reduce the price of the electricity, as around 60-65% of the electricity produced in our republic is produced by hydropower plants (over 200 HPPs operating in Armenia) and the nuclear power plant. The average cost unit of 1 kwph produced by the HPPs makes up 2-5 AMD, while it's 5-7 AMD for the nuclear power plant.'
The alliance is promising also to review the procedure of calculating and payment of environmental fees in mining sector for the benefit of the state budget.
