“Lavash” group has been opened with the initiative of Armenian, Georgian, Serbian, Turkish and Azerbaijani activists on Facebook social network. When selecting the name of the group the activists have taken into consideration the fact that all these nations have lavash in their cuisine. The objective of this group is to set up cooperation forum among the countries, to ensure permanent contact and to inform about each other’s environmental problems. The idea of creating this group as originated during “Summer Regional Camp” held from June 28 to July 28 in the resort zone of Chakvi, Georgia. The initiative to hold a camp belongs to “Georgian Young Greens” NGO. The camp united around 25 activists from Armenia, Georgia, Turkey and Azerbaijan. The aim of this initiative is to enforce regional cooperation among young activists, to reveal the activist groups in the region and to establish a common action plan. Lectures and discussions about activism, democracy and human rights were held.
