Tariff Set for Sale of Electricity Produced in SHPPs, Solar Stations and Windmills Reduced

On November 23, 2022, RA Public Services Regulatory Committee (PSRC) adopted a decision to reduce the tariffs for electricity delivered from power plants using renewable energy resources.

Ashot Ulikhanyan, Head of Committee's Tariff Department, said in his conversation with EcoLur that the tariff for electricity produced in small hydropower plants, wind farms, biogas plants and solar plants with a capacity of up to 1 MW has been reduced by 10.77%, and in the case of solar plants with a capacity of up to 5 MW, by 15.47%. The changes will take effect from January 2023.
