"San Solar" LLC intends to build two new solar plants in Lernagog settlement of Baghramyan community, Armavir Region.
The second public hearings on the preliminary environmental impact assessment applications for the construction of the company's "Sun 1" and "Sun 2" solar power plants are scheduled for October 25, 2023, at 11:00 and 11:30 at Lernagog school.
Both plants will have a capacity of 6.6 MW and will be operated until May 2045. "Sun 1" station is planned to be built on 2/2 plot of Lernagog village on 8.55264 hectares, whereas "Sun 2" station on 2/3 plot of Lernagog village on 8.12815 hectares. According to the applications, these lands are important for energy.
"Sun 1" and "Sun 2" stations are planned to be built with 12,480 polycrystalline photovoltaic panels each.
The issue of managing out-of-order panels is unclear. They will be stored in a closed warehouse until they can be exported or processed.
It is noted that the areas intended for the construction of the stations were not used by the community and residents for agricultural purposes, nor as pasture.
