In 2025, 14% of the electricity produced in Armenia was generated by solar power plants, according to a statement by RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan, posted on his Facebook page.
“More than 1,150 MW of installed solar capacity is currently connected to Armenia’s energy system. This exceeds the target set for 2030 by about 150 MW, and the figure continues to grow. Compared to 2024, the increase is more than 45 percent. To give an idea of the scale of this indicator, I should note that around 14 percent of Armenia’s total electricity generation last year was produced by solar power plants,” David Khudatyan noted.
