'Khachatryan Brothers' LLC will construct a hydropower cascade with 4 MW capacity in Tsghuk community, Syunik Region, using the potential of the local rivers. In this regard, the government has granted privileges to the company: the company will pay the value added tax of the imported goods for the hydropower cascade in a term of three years. It's planned to invest around 1.9 billion AMD for the hydrocascade, out of which around 489 million will be used to purchase equipment. Tsghuk Community takes water from Spandaryan canal: numerous springs have dried out in the community area because of SHPP increase, which supply water to the community rivers. It's already been a year since the community gets deprived of irrigation water two days a week to ensure water to other communities because of lack of water. There are two SHPPs operating in the area of Tsghuk Community, one of which via Spandaryan canal. According to the information in the mass media, the founders of 'Khachatryan Brothers' LLC are Syunik Regional Head Surik Khachatryan and his cousin Sasun Khachatryan.
