Today GasProm Armenia CJSC made a statement that it intends to apply to the Public Service Regulatory Committee of Armenia with a claim to review the gas tariffs sold to the consumers in the Republic of Armenia, where the claim is on the reduction of gas tariff. GasProm Armenia CJSC intends to reduce gas tariff for ordinary consumers by 7.7 AMD.
It should be mentioned that many communities in Armenia heat their houses with wood. This autumn EcoLur's photo camera fixed many community yards particularly in Lori Region, where fuel wood was piled up. Time will show to what extent the tariff reductions will support heating houses with gas in socially insecure communities and reducing forest overload.
